HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / Commercial Vehicle Fitter (Manchester – 4 on 4 off)

Salary: £53,(Apply online only) to £63,(Apply online only) basic per annum
Shift: 4 on 4 off 07:00 - 19:00

Join a busy commercial vehicle workshop in Manchester as an experienced HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic or Commercial Vehicle Fitter. Key Responsibilities of an HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / HGV Fitter
Carry out routine servicing, maintenance and inspections on HGVs and trailers
Diagnose faults and carry out mechanical, electrical and hydraulic repairs
Complete structural and chassis repairs including welding when required
Ensure all work meets DVSA and manufacturer compliance standards
Keep accurate service records and complete relevant documentation
Contribute to a safe and efficient working environment
Skills and Qualifications for an HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / HGV Fitter
Essential
Experience working as an HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic or Commercial Vehicle Fitter
Level 3 NVQ or City & Guilds in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent
Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
Full UK driving licence
Desirable
HGV Class 1 licence
IRTEC accreditation
