HGV Technician – Preston
Pay: £20.00 per hour + Mobile Call Out Enhancements
Hours: 4 on 4 off, Days
Shift: 7:00am – 7:00pm
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time
Must hold a recognised Level 3 qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance (NVQ / City & Guilds / IMI).
Overview
We're looking for an HGV Technician to join our team in Preston. This role offers a fantastic 4 on 4 off day shift pattern with additional earning potential through a 1 in 4 call-out rota, paying £25 per night plus 1.25x hourly rate for call-out hours.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs on HGVs and trailers
Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults efficiently
Conduct safety inspections and MOT preparations
Complete all job cards and paperwork accurately
Maintain high standards of workmanship and workshop safety
Option to participate in 1 in 4 call-out rota for emergency repairs
What You'll Need
Level 3 qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance (NVQ/City & Guilds/IMI)
Proven experience as an HGV Technician
Strong diagnostic and repair skills
Full UK driving licence
Flexibility to participate in call-out rota
What's On Offer
£20.00 per hour basic rate
1 in 4 call-out rota - £25 per night + 1.25x hourly rate
OTE up to £52,500+ per year with call-outs
4 on 4 off day shifts (7am-7pm)
