Job Description
We are currently seeking a 24 hour call out HGV Technician on behalf of our Client, an Automotive commercial dealership based in the Worthing area.
The successful HGV Fitter can expect a salary of up to £43000 with OTE of circa £70000 with working hours of Monday – Friday: 07:00 to 16:00.
Our Client is looking for a HGV Technician to join their busy team, this is a full-time position and our Client is looking for individuals with previous working experience within the role.

Weekend call out rota (1 in 2)
Company pensionTypical Duties for our client include, but are not limited to:
Diagnose, repair and service the range of manufacturer products in accordance with manufacturer's work specifications.
Through the use of diagnostic equipment and systematic approach, ensure vehicle faults are diagnosed and rectified.
Meet with customers to identify and clearly understand problems as and when required.
Ensure full understanding of latest technology introduced on the vehicle range and how to diagnose and repair faults on them.
Carry out diagnosis, repairs and servicing to the highest standards and to the appropriate specification.
Ensure all work is carried out observing safe working practices of self and others.
Liaise and seek advice from colleagues and supervisors in situations that are over and above work specified.
Check level and quality of work through use of diagnostic equipment and road testing vehicles after work has been carried out. Liaise with Service Advisor.
Complete relevant service documentation (job sheets, PDI's, service reports) in line with brand standards, warranty and site requirements.
Ensure that workshop housekeeping standards are maintained at all times including the use of special and personal tools.Requirements:
Be a qualified HGV Technician (City & Guilds / NVQ Level Three or equivalent)
Experience with Commercial Vehicle / HGV Repair
Competency in IT, Maths and English
Strong attention to detail
Good organisational skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
To be able to work effectively as a team player
