HGV Technician / Mechanic Wanted!
Location: Northampton
Salary: £45000 – £55000 per annum (dependent on experience)
Hours: Monday – Friday, 6am–2pm / 2pm–10pm + every other Saturday half day
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
About the Role
We’re looking for an experienced HGV Technician to join our client's dynamic team, in an HGV dealership. You’ll carry out diagnostics, inspections, servicing, and repairs to the highest standards—ensuring all vehicles remain roadworthy, safe, and compliant.
Key Responsibilities
* Routine maintenance and repair of HGVs and trailers
* Conducting MOT preparations and inspections
* Fault finding, diagnostics, and mechanical/electrical repairs
* Completing all relevant documentation accurately and on time
* Working efficiently to minimise downtime and maximise fleet availability
What They’re Looking For
* NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
* Proven experience as an HGV Technician or Mechanic
* Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
* Full UK driving licence (HGV Class 1 or 2 licence preferred)
* A proactive, team-focused attitude with attention to detail
