Job Description

We are recruiting for an experienced HGV Technician on behalf of our client, a well-established commercial vehicle workshop based in Leicester. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled professional seeking a challenging role within a busy and reputable operation that values ongoing training and career development.

Competitive hourly rate of up to £22.00 per hour, with earnings exceeding £50,000 annually including overtime enhancements
Overtime paid at time and a half Monday to Saturday, double time on Sundays and bank holidays
Alternating Saturday mornings, working 6:00am – 12:00pm

Enhanced rates for overtime workDuties of a HGV Technician:

Conduct servicing, repairs, and maintenance on HGVs and commercial vehicles to manufacturer standards
Diagnosing faults using advanced diagnostic equipment
Carry out safety inspections and prepare vehicles for MOT testing
Ensure all work is completed efficiently, safely, and to high-quality standards as a HGV Technician
Maintain a clean and organised workshop environment
Keep accurate work records and comply with health and safety regulationsRequirements of a HGV Technician:

Fully qualified HGV Technician (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent)
Proven experience working on HGVs or commercial vehicles
Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
Positive, proactive attitude with a commitment to quality work
Full UK driving licence required
