Location: Peterborough 
Salary: £41,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on experience + overtime 
Signing Bonus: £1,500 
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent 
Working Pattern: Monday to Friday 
Weekends: No weekend work

We're recruiting for an experienced HGV Technician to join a well-established fleet operation in Peterborough. 
This is an excellent opportunity for a technician looking for stability, ongoing training, regular pay reviews and a clear progression pathway towards Master Technician status, while enjoying a Monday-to-Friday working pattern.

The Role 
As an HGV Technician, your responsibilities will include: 
·Carrying out servicing, maintenance and repairs on HGVs. 
·Diagnosing and rectifying mechanical and electrical faults. 
·Completing vehicle inspections and preventative maintenance. 
·Ensuring all work is completed safely and to company standards. 
·Accurately completing job cards and maintenance records. 
·Working efficiently to minimise vehicle downtime. 
·Maintaining high standards of workmanship and Health & Safety.
 
About You 
We're looking for an experienced HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / Commercial Vehicle Technician with: 
·Previous experience working as an HGV Technician or HGV Mechanic. 
·Level 3 qualification in HGV Maintenance or equivalent. 
·Full UK Driving Licence. 
·Strong mechanical and diagnostic fault-finding skills. 
·Good attention to detail and pride in workmanship. 
·A reliable and professional approach. 
·The ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Class 1 HGV Licence is required after probation, with the business willing to fund the licence for the successful candidate.
