HGV Technician | Preston (PR1)

£46,000 – £53,000 + Overtime DOE

Preston, Lancashire | Full-Time | Permanent

Accord Resourcing is recruiting for an experienced HGV Technician to join an established commercial vehicle workshop in Preston (PR1).

🔧 The Role

You'll be responsible for keeping a commercial vehicle fleet safe, reliable and roadworthy.

  * Servicing, maintaining and repairing HGVs

  * Carrying out inspections and preventative maintenance

  * Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults

  * Diagnostic and fault-finding work

  * Preparing vehicles for MOT

  * Completing repairs efficiently and to a high standard

  * Completing job cards and service records

  * Working safely within a busy workshop

👨‍🔧 About You

  * Level 3 Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair or equivalent

  * Previous HGV / LGV / Truck / Commercial Vehicle experience

  * Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills

  * Good fault-finding ability

  * Mechanical and electrical repair experience

  * Reliable and proactive approach

  * Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  * Full UK Driving Licence

The role is commutable from Preston, Leyland, Chorley, Bamber Bridge, Penwortham, Fulwood and surrounding areas.
