Location: Chelmsford
Salary: Up to £60,000 basic per annum
Shift: Monday to Friday, Days – 45 hours per week (flexible start/finish times)

About the Company

With continued growth they are looking for a skilled HGV Technician to strengthen their expanding team. Ideally you will have experience working on Volvo and /or Renault trucks
Key Responsibilities
As an HGV Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a variety of HGVs and trailers, ensuring vehicles remain in top working condition. Your duties will include:
Vehicle Inspections & Servicing – Conducting routine maintenance, scheduled servicing, and safety checks to DVSA standards.
Fault Diagnosis & Repairs – Identifying and rectifying mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults, including engine, gearbox, and braking systems.
MOT Preparation & Testing – Ensuring vehicles are fully compliant for MOT testing and presenting them as required.
Breakdown & Reactive Maintenance – Attending roadside breakdowns and performing on-the-spot repairs when needed.
Workshop & Compliance Duties – Maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient workshop, ensuring all work meets legal and manufacturer standards.Requirements
City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent).
Proven experience as an HGV Technician / Mechanic, working with HGVs, trailers, or PSV vehicles.
Strong technical knowledge of diagnostics, repairs, and servicing procedures ideally on Volvo and/or Renault trucks
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
HGV Licence (preferred but not essential).What’s on Offer?
