Key Responsibilities of an HGV Mechanic
Carry out routine servicing, diagnostics, and repairs on HGVs
Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults and carry out necessary repairs
Perform MOT preparation and vehicle safety checks
Maintain accurate records of work completed and parts used
Ensure all work is completed to high industry standards
Follow all health and safety regulations and company procedures
Requirements for an HGV Mechanic
Previous experience as an HGV Technician or HGV Mechanic
Strong knowledge of HGV systems and diagnostic equipment
NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent
Full UK driving licence (HGV licence preferred but not essential)
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work
