Job Title: HGV Technician Location: Dudley, West Midlands
Salary: £40,000 - 45,000
Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Hours: Monday to Friday (flexibility available)
About the Company: Our client, a well-established and respected business in the commercial vehicle sector, is currently seeking an experienced and reliable HGV Technician to join their team in the Dudley area. The Role: As a key member of the workshop team, you will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, and repairing a range of heavy goods vehicles to the highest standards. This role is ideal for a proactive individual who takes pride in their work and is committed to vehicle safety and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Carry out inspections, servicing, diagnostics, and repairs on HGVs
Prepare vehicles for MOT and ensure compliance with DVSA standards
Diagnose faults using specialist diagnostic equipment
Maintain accurate service and repair records
Liaise with the service team to report on progress and any additional work needed
Adhere to all health and safety regulations in the workshop
Support junior team members if requiredCandidate Requirements:
Level 3 qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent)
Previous experience as an HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic is essential
Strong diagnostic skills and knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
Full UK driving licence (HGV Class 1 or 2 licence desirable)
Ability to work efficiently and as part of a team
Flexible attitude and willingness to work overtime where neededWhat’s on Offer:
