Overview of requirement:
Pyramid Recruitment is looking for experienced and reliable HGV Technician to work for our massive, exciting nationwide client within a specialist industry.
HGV Technician – Key Responsibilities & Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform servicing, repairs, and maintenance on HGVs, trailers, plant, and other company vehicles.
* Complete MOT preparation in line with DVSA standards.
* Attend vehicle breakdowns on the roadside or at customer premises, providing effective on-site repairs.
* Diagnose and rectify faults, ensuring vehicles are returned to service promptly and safely.
* Operate computer-based diagnostic tools to support fault finding and repair.
* Uphold workshop cleanliness, tidiness, and a safe working environment at all times.
* Maintain a thorough and current technical knowledge of vehicle systems and standards.
* Accurately complete all job cards, service records, and compliance paperwork.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
* Level 3 NVQ or City & Guilds qualification in HGV Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent).
* IRTEC Accreditation.
* Solid understanding and experience using diagnostic equipment.
* A minimum of 2 years' experience in a commercial vehicle workshop environment.
* Full UK driving licence.
* Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
* Legal right to work in the UK.
Desirable:
* Category CE (Class 1) HGV driving licence.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £28 - £30 per hour (9hrs)
Over time paid at x1.5
Expected hours: 45 – 50 per week
