Position: HGV Technician
Employment Type: Full Time – 50 hours, Monday to Friday, plus Saturdays (2 in 4)
Salary: £40,000 to £55,000 per annum, dependent on experience
Location: B78 2BP
Haulmasters transport building materials and equipment for specialist construction projects. They operate a fleet of vehicles specifically designed for the safe transport of construction equipment, building materials and event work, ensuring the correct vehicle is used for each load.
Requirements:
A fully trained HGV trailer fitter / HGV technician to join their existing team in their workshops. The ideal candidate will:
* Be a team player
* Work effectively to deadlines
* Use their own initiative
* Hold a Class 1 or 2 license (preferred)
* Possess a natural aptitude for mechanical diagnosis and repair
* Have thorough knowledge of vehicle electrical systems
* Be skilled in all aspects of vehicle repairs and servicing
Duties involve:
* Carrying out inspections, maintenance, and repair work
* Preparing and presenting vehicles for VOSA tests
* Conducting 6-weekly inspections and fault repairs
* Performing preventative maintenance
* Diagnosing faults
* Replacing gearboxes and clutches
* Rectifying brake issues (ABS/EBS)
* Undertaking trailer work
* Completing all associated paperwork, reporting, and administrative tasks
