Job Description
HGV Technician – Uttoxeter
Pay: £19.29 per hour
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday–Friday
Shifts: Rotating weekly shifts: 06:00–14:30 / 09:30–18:00
Bonus: 5% of annual basic salary
Overtime: Paid at 1.5x hourly rate
Contract: Permanent
Earning Potential (OTE)
Basic + 5% bonus = £42,129 per year
With 3h overtime per week = ~£46,644 OTE
With 5h overtime per week = ~£49,658 OTE
With 10h overtime per week = ~£57,186 OTEMust hold a recognised Level 3 qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance (NVQ / City & Guilds / IMI).
Overview We’re recruiting for an experienced HGV Technician to join a busy, well-equipped workshop in Uttoxeter. You’ll be carrying out servicing, diagnostics, inspections and repairs, ensuring vehicles are kept safe, compliant and on the road.
This is a solid Monday–Friday role with rotating shifts, paid overtime at time and a half, plus a guaranteed 5% annual bonus.
Key Responsibilities
Service, repair and maintain HGVs to DVSA standards
Diagnose and rectify faults using modern diagnostic equipment
Prepare and present vehicles for MOT inspection
Complete accurate job cards and paperwork
Maintain a safe, compliant and professional workshop environmentWhat You’ll Need
Level 3 qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance (NVQ / City & Guilds / IMI)
Previous experience working as an HGV Technician / Mechanic
Strong diagnostic and mechanical skills
