Job Description
HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic
Salary: Up to £46,956 per year
Location: Peterborough
Hours: Mon to Fri 8:30am - 5:00pm, alt Saturday mornings 8:00am – 12:00pm
Contract: Permanent
We are looking for an experienced HGV Technician to join our independent franchise specialist commercial vehicle workshop in Peterborough. You’ll be part of a team of 8 skilled technicians working across 5 modern vehicle lifts, supporting the maintenance and repair of Mercedes, DAF, Iveco, and a mix of HGV and LCV vehicles.
As an HGV Technician, you’ll be carrying out servicing, diagnostics, and repairs to a high standard while working with the latest tools, equipment, and technology. The business is well established, with a very low staff turnover and a strong reputation in the industry.

Key responsibilities:
* Carry out inspections, servicing, and repairs on HGV and LCV vehicles
* Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical faults
* Work efficiently as part of a close-knit team of technicians
* Maintain accurate records of work completed
* Ensure all health and safety standards are followed
Requirements:
* Proven experience as an HGV Technician
* Good knowledge of commercial vehicle systems, diagnostics, and repair processes
* Full UK driving licence (HGV licence an advantage but not essential)
* Good communication skills
* Commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship and customer service
