HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / HGV Fitter
Location: Leeds
Salary: £44,460 - £46,930 pa + overtime at time and a half
Hours: Monday to Friday, 7am – 5pm
Contract Type: Permanent, Full-time
Vector Recruitment Solutions are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / HGV Fitter to join a growing drainage and waste management business based in Yorkshire.
You’ll play a vital role in maintaining and repairing a fleet of specialist tankers, HGVs, and plant machinery, ensuring they remain safe, reliable, and fully operational.
The Role
Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on tankers, vehicles, and plant equipment
Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults
Complete pre-PMI checks to ensure safety and compliance
Perform minor accident repairs when required
Maintain accurate service and repair records
About You
Proven experience as an HGV Technician, Mechanic, or Fitter
Strong knowledge of vehicle and plant maintenance procedures
Confident diagnosing faults in mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
Detail-oriented with a commitment to high-quality workmanship
Full UK Driving Licence (HGV Desirable)
Experience working on tankers / drainage vehicles (desirable)
Pay and Hours
Monday to Friday, 7am – 5pm
£44,460 - £46,930 pa
Overtime available at time and a half
