Job Description
HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic
Location: Hull
Salary: £46,804
Shift: Monday – Friday, 7:00am – 5:00pm / 8:00am – 6:00pm (alternating shifts) – 48 hrs
Plus 1 in 2 Saturday mornings, 8:00am – 12:00pm
We’re looking for an experienced HGV Technician to join our friendly team in a busy 2-bay workshop based in Hull. You’ll be working alongside two other skilled technicians, carrying out maintenance, repairs, MOT preparation, and refurbishment work on a mixed fleet of HGVs and trailers.
This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on technician who takes pride in delivering high-quality work and wants to join a well-equipped, supportive workshop.

* Ongoing training and development opportunities, including IRTEC, Class 1, BPW, diagnostic training, and brand specific manufacturer training
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out servicing, inspections, MOT preparation, and general repairs on HGVs and trailers
* Perform refurbishment work to a high standard across vehicles and trailers
* Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults efficiently
* Complete all job cards, service sheets, and compliance documentation accurately
* Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean, safe working environment
* Liaise with the Workshop Supervisor, drivers, and traffic office to ensure smooth workshop operations
What We’re Looking For
* Proven experience as an HGV Technician, HGV Fitter, or similar role
* Strong technical knowledge of HGVs and trailers, including diagnostics, repairs, and MOT preparation
* Full uk driving licence
