HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic
Location: Hull
Salary: £46,804
Shift: Monday – Friday, 7:00am – 5:00pm / 8:00am – 6:00pm (alternating shifts) – 48 hrs
Plus 1 in 2 Saturday mornings, 8:00am – 12:00pm
We’re looking for an experienced HGV Technician to join our friendly team in a busy 2-bay workshop based in Hull. You’ll be working alongside two other skilled technicians, carrying out maintenance, repairs, MOT preparation, and refurbishment work on a mixed fleet of HGVs and trailers.
This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on technician who takes pride in delivering high-quality work and wants to join a well-equipped, supportive workshop.

Salary: £46,804

Ongoing training and development opportunities, including IRTEC, Class 1, BPW, diagnostic training, and brand specific manufacturer training
Key Responsibilities
Carry out servicing, inspections, MOT preparation, and general repairs on HGVs and trailers
Perform refurbishment work to a high standard across vehicles and trailers
Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults efficiently
Complete all job cards, service sheets, and compliance documentation accurately
Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean, safe working environment
Liaise with the Workshop Supervisor, drivers, and traffic office to ensure smooth workshop operations
What We’re Looking For
Proven experience as an HGV Technician, HGV Fitter, or similar role
Strong technical knowledge of HGVs and trailers, including diagnostics, repairs, and MOT preparation
Full uk driving licence
