HGV Technician / Mechanic
Berry Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced HGV Technician / Mechanic to join our client's team in Oxford
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Technician or Mechanic to join an established business and play a key role in maintaining their HGV fleet.
The Role
Role: HGV Technician / Mechanic
Location: Bampton, Oxfordshire
Days: Monday to Friday
Hours: 7:00am - 5:00pm
Salary: £45,000+ per annum (dependent on experience)Key Responsibilities
As an HGV Technician / Mechanic, your responsibilities will include:
Carrying out servicing, maintenance and repairs on HGV vehicles
Diagnosing and repairing both mechanical and electrical faults
Completing 6-weekly inspections
Carrying out brake testing
Preparing vehicles for MOTs
Roadside Breakdowns
Ensuring all vehicles are safe, roadworthy and compliant
Working efficiently to minimise vehicle downtime
Maintaining accurate records of all work completed
Completing all relevant paperwork relating to PMI inspectionsThe Candidate
The successful candidate will ideally have:
Previous experience working as an HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic or similar
Excellent knowledge of HGV mechanics
Strong mechanical and electrical diagnostic skills
A full UK driving licence
A Class 2 licence would be desirable but is not essential
Their own small hand tools
Ability to work individually
A reliable and proactive approach to their work
Larger tools will be supplied.Interview Process
