Workshop Controller – £35,000 to £40,000 per annum – Career Progression Opportunity!
Are you an experienced HGV Technician looking to take the next step in your career and move off the tools? We’re looking for a proactive and hands-on Workshop Controller to join our team and take on a vital leadership role in our busy workshop.
About the Role:
As the Workshop Controller, you’ll be responsible for the day-to-day running of the workshop, ensuring that all repair and maintenance work is completed efficiently, safely, and to a high standard. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled technician ready to transition into a supervisory role while still staying close to the technical side of the business.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the workflow in the workshop and allocate jobs to technicians effectively
Monitor job progress and ensure timely completion of repairs and servicing
Provide technical support and guidance to the workshop team when needed
Liaise with service advisors and other departments to ensure excellent customer service
Uphold health and safety standards and workshop compliance at all times
What We’re Looking For:
Previous experience as a HGV Technician is essential
Desire to move into a supervisory or controller position
Strong understanding of commercial vehicle maintenance and repair
Excellent organisational and communication skills
A proactive and team-oriented approach
