HGV Workshop Supervisor – Fleet Maintenance
Location: Hemel Hempstead
Salary: £23.00 per hour / £53,820 per annum
Hours: Monday to Friday, 45 hours per week + 1 in 2 Saturday mornings
Shifts: 7:00am – 4:30pm OR 8:00am – 5:30pm
The Role
We are recruiting for an experienced HGV Workshop Supervisor to join our fleet maintenance operation in Hemel Hempstead. This is a hands-on position with approximately 80% of your time spent on the tools and 20% supervising and managing the workshop team.
You will be responsible for ensuring vehicles are maintained to the highest standards while overseeing workshop operations and providing leadership to the team.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out inspections, diagnostics, servicing and repairs on HGVs.
Supervise workshop staff and allocate jobs effectively.
Ensure compliance with health & safety and company policies.
Support and mentor team members with technical expertise.
Report on workshop performance and liaise with management.
Requirements
Fully qualified HGV Technician / Mechanic – Level 3 (NVQ or equivalent) essential.
Previous experience in a supervisory or team leader role within an HGV workshop.
Strong technical knowledge with the ability to diagnose and resolve issues.
Organised, proactive and able to work under pressure.
The Package
£23.00 per hour
£53,820 per annum (based on 45 hours per week)
