Job Description
Streamline Recruitment are working in partnership a well-established logistics business based in Thurrock looking to recruit a Project Operator / Assistant to support their high and heavy load division.
This role is ideal for someone with 1–2 years of experience in freight forwarding or international shipping, looking to take on more responsibility and project involvement.
What you’ll be doing:
* Arranging ocean freight with overseas agents and internal teams
* Managing and checking required documentation for shipments
* Keeping internal systems up to date with cargo and project progress
* Liaising with the warehouse on goods arriving/departing
* Supporting with admin tasks and occasional quality checking (light lifting involved)
* Attending occasional site visits or exhibitions
What you’ll need:
* 1–2 years’ experience in ocean freight (LCL/FCL) and transport coordination
* Familiarity with customs documentation and clearance requirements
* Strong organisational skills and ability to multitask
* Comfortable using Outlook and Excel for admin and communication
* Clear communication style and attention to detail
Location: Thurrock (office-based, with occasional travel)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30 – 17:30
Salary: £25,500 starting salary
