Contract Length: Initially 1 term (Autumn Term) – potential for extension
Day Rate: £95 – £115 per day (dependent on experience and qualifications)

A forward-thinking and welcoming primary school in Bedford is on the lookout for a High Level Teaching Assistant to join their team full-time from September 2025, for the Autumn term. This is a fantastic short-term opportunity with the potential to extend based on school needs and performance.
You’ll be a key part of the classroom, leading sessions, delivering interventions, and stepping in for teacher cover where needed. The school is seeking someone who brings energy, initiative, and a passion for helping pupils thrive.
Responsibilities:
Lead and deliver lessons in the absence of the class teacher
Support pupils with their learning through targeted interventions and small group work
Collaborate with teaching staff to plan and adapt resources
Promote high standards of behaviour, engagement, and achievement
Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment for all pupils
Requirements:
HLTA qualification or equivalent experience
Confident leading a class and delivering pre-planned lessons
Strong communication, behaviour management, and organisational skills
Flexible, proactive, and team-oriented
A commitment to safeguarding and supporting pupil wellbeing
