High Risk Trainee Manager Northampton £40,000 – £44,000 per annum Tuesday – Saturday, 4AM – 2PM FMCG / Food Manufacturing Environment About the Role Our client is looking for an experienced Team Leader or Supervisor ready to take the next step into management within a fast-paced FMCG production environment. This is a key role supporting the Factory and Technical Management teams to ensure the highest standards of food safety, quality, and compliance are maintained throughout the production process. Key Responsibilities Ensure food safety, authenticity, product integrity, and quality standards are maintained in line with legislation and internal codes of practice. Oversee daily production schedules and ensure efficient and accurate completion. Evaluate the performance of supervisors and team leaders, providing guidance and support where required. Monitor stock levels to ensure production targets are met. Liaise with supervisors/team leaders to manage quality issues and maintain standards. Lead and support training and retraining activities for production staff. Maintain traceability and residual control systems. Drive continuous improvement in hygiene, housekeeping, and process control. Investigate non-conformances or process deviations, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions. Ensure compliance with HACCP – CCP/LCP procedures and accurate completion of documentation. Collaborate closely with the Technical Manager and Factory Manager to uphold factory standards and process controls.Key Accountabilities The High Risk Manager is accountable to the Directors, Factory Manager, and Technical Manager, and must comply with all legal requirements related to food production, including but not limited to: The Food Safety Act 1990 The Food Hygiene (England) Regulations 2006 The Health & Safety at Work Act 1999 The Food Information Regulations 2014 The Weights and Measures Act 1985 Regulation (EC) 852/2004 – Hygiene of Foodstuffs Regulation 834/2007 – Organic Production and Labelling of Organic Products Country of Origin 2011 Materials and Articles in Contact with Food Regulations 2012About You Proven experience as a Team Leader or Supervisor within a fast-paced FMCG or food manufacturing environment. Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene standards. Excellent communication and leadership skills. Able to work under pressure and drive continuous improvement. Flexible and proactive approach to problem-solving. HACCP knowledge and experience preferred.Benefits Day shift!
