Are you a passionate and experienced HLTA looking for a new challenge in the WF8 area? We are currently recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and well-resourced primary school that is seeking a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join their supportive team.
Position: HLTA (Higher Level Teaching Assistant)
Location: Pontefract (WF8)
Contract Type: Full-time, Long-Term (with potential to become permanent)
Start Date: September 2025
Responsibilities:
Delivering pre-planned lessons in the absence of the teacher
Supporting learning in class and delivering targeted interventions
Assisting with planning and assessment
Promoting a safe, positive and inclusive learning environment
Collaborating with teachers and SEN staff to meet pupil needs
Requirements:
HLTA status or relevant Level 4 qualification
Proven experience supporting in a primary school setting
Confident with classroom and behaviour management
A proactive and flexible attitude
Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
