SEN Higher learning Teaching Assistant (HLTA)
Location: Greenwich
Full-Time | Term Time Only
Start Date: September
Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant ready to take the next step?
We're recruiting on behalf of an inclusive and forward-thinking SEN school seeking a Higher learning Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to provide advanced classroom support, lead small group learning, and deliver interventions across the school.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work alongside a dedicated SEN team and make a genuine impact in the lives of children with complex needs.
The Role:
As a SEN HLTA, you will:
Lead planned learning activities across KS1/KS2/KS3/KS4 (specify depending on school).
Support and implement individual education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with teachers and the SENCO.
Deliver targeted interventions and differentiated learning to children with a range of needs including ASD, SEMH, MLD, and communication difficulties.
Mentor and support other TAs in best practice.
Contribute to assessment and progress reporting for students with EHCPs.What We're Looking For:
We'd love to hear from candidates who have:
HLTA status or equivalent Level 4 qualification.
Proven experience supporting children with SEN in a classroom setting.
Strong leadership, initiative and behaviour management skills.
A calm, resilient and nurturing approach to education.Experience delivering structured learning or running small group sessions independently is essential.
