Job Title: Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)
Location: Secondary School – Croydon
Pay: £110 – £120 per day (depending on experience)
Contract: Long-term, Full-time
Start Date: Immediate Start
About the Role:
An excellent secondary school in Croydon is looking for a dedicated and skilled Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join their team on a long-term basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to support students in a dynamic and inclusive learning environment while playing a key role in delivering high-quality education.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver lessons and learning activities to small groups or whole classes, as planned by the teacher.
Provide targeted support to students with a range of academic and additional needs.
Assist with classroom management and help maintain a positive learning environment.
Work closely with teaching staff to support planning, assessment, and pupil progress.
Cover lessons in the absence of the class teacher when required.
Contribute to the wider school community and pastoral care of students.
Requirements:
HLTA qualification or substantial experience in a similar role within a secondary school.
Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to engage and motivate students.
A good understanding of the secondary curriculum.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
