Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)
We are currently recruiting for a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to support across KS1 and KS2 within a primary school setting. This role involves taking on additional responsibility, including leading lessons and supporting teaching and learning across the school.
Role responsibilities include:
Supporting teaching and learning across KS1 and KS2
Leading whole-class lessons in the absence of the teacher
Delivering pre-planned lessons and ensuring continuity of learning
Working with small groups to provide targeted support
Supporting lesson planning and classroom organisation
Assisting with assessment and monitoring pupil progress
Maintaining a positive and structured learning environmentThe ideal candidate will have:
HLTA status
Previous experience working across KS1 and KS2
Confidence in leading a class independently
Strong classroom management skills
Good communication and teamwork skills
A proactive, flexible, and reliable approach
