Location: Blackpool (Excellent motorway, bus, and parking links)
Pay: £120 - £135 per day
Hours: Monday - Friday, 08:45 - 15:30 (Term Time Only)
Contract: September 2026 - July 2027 (Full Academic Year, Temporary)

We are partnering with a forward-thinking Primary Academy in Blackpool to recruit a strong Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) or Cover Lead. This is a unique opportunity to lead classes across a two-form entry setting, focusing on high-quality curriculum delivery and nurture-based support.

Experienced Teachers: Stay "front of class" delivering engaging lessons without the additional pressure of full-time planning and data tracking.
Level 3 TAs: If you have the "strength" to lead a class, this Academy is willing to support and fund your HLTA training during the contract.
The Role: Classroom Leadership & PPA Cover
As the Academy's Cover Lead, you will be essential to the daily running of the school. Your responsibilities include:
Leading the Classroom: Independently delivering pre-planned lessons across all primary phases (EYFS, KS1, and KS2) during PPA time and staff absence.
Literacy Specialist: Delivering the ReadWriteInc Phonics programme to ensure every child becomes a confident reader.
Nurture & Inclusion: Working with the pastoral team to implement the "six principles of nurture" within every lesson.
Targeted Interventions: Leading small group activities and adapting resources for pupils with diverse needs.

Requirements
Qualifications: Must hold a Level 4 HLTA qualification, a relevant Degree, or QTS/ECT status.
Confidence: Proven ability to lead a whole class independently with strong behaviour management.
Commitment: Available for the full academic year from September 2026 to July 2027.
Compliance: Subject to an enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references.
