Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) / Cover Supervisor in Eastleigh

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to work with a school in Eastleigh on a regular basis. As a HLTA you will be working across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 providing PPA cover for the class. You will be working from preplanned lessons provided by the class teacher.

This is a long-term temporary position starting in September 2026, ideally looking for someone regularly 3 days a week, though the 3 days are currently flexible.

Key Details:

Position: Higher Level Teaching Assistant

Start Date: September 2026

Key Responsibilities: 

Implement tailored strategies to support the child's communication and interaction needs
Foster a calm, nurturing, and patient learning environment
Work closely with teaching staff and the SENCO to ensure the child's needs are met effectively
Monitor and report on the child's progress, adjusting support as necessary
Lead from pre planned lessons across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 

Ideal Candidate:

Experience working in the classroom
Experience working as a HLTA (Higher Level Teaching Assistant) or Cover Supervisor across Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2
A calm, patient, and nurturing approach
Ability to build strong, trusting relationships with the childINDSOUTH
