Job Title: Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) Location: Surrey, Esher Pay Range: £110 – £140 per day (dependent on experience) Contract Type: Full-time, Temporary ANZUK Education is working with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Esher seeking a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join their team from an immediate start. This full-time position offers the opportunity to support across the school while also covering classes when required, ensuring continuity of learning in a well-structured environment. The school is known for its strong leadership and supportive staff culture, creating an environment where HLTAs are valued and trusted to take on additional responsibilities. This HLTA role in Esher would suit experienced Teaching Assistants or existing HLTAs who are confident delivering lessons and stepping into the classroom when needed. Key Responsibilities of HLTA: Support teaching and learning across the primary phase. Deliver pre-planned lessons in the absence of the class teacher. Provide targeted support to individuals and small groups. Maintain high expectations for pupil progress, behaviour and engagement. Support pupils’ social, emotional and personal development. The Ideal Candidate Will: Hold a HLTA qualification or equivalent experience (essential). Have experience working within a primary school setting. Be confident leading whole-class learning when required. Demonstrate strong understanding of the National Curriculum. Maintain high expectations for pupil progress and behaviour.
