Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)
Are you an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) ready to take the next step in your education career? Teach Now is working with a warm and inclusive primary school in Newham that is looking for a dedicated HLTA to join their team on a permanent, full-time basis.

You’ll be joining a supportive and experienced team who are passionate about making learning engaging, accessible, and meaningful for every child.
Your Role as HLTA:
• Lead lessons across Key Stage 1 and 2 in the absence of the teacher
• Provide targeted support to small groups and individual pupils
• Plan and deliver interventions in literacy and numeracy
• Support behaviour management and pastoral care
• Work closely with class teachers, SENCOs, and other support staff
• Assist in monitoring pupil progress and adapting learning plans accordingly
Ideal Candidate:
• HLTA qualification or significant experience in a similar role
• Proven ability to lead whole-class teaching sessions
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• A proactive, flexible, and enthusiastic approach to learning
• Strong classroom management and organisational skills
• Passionate about supporting pupil development across academic and social-emotional domains
