Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) - Special Needs School -Cambridge UK
Location: Cambridge, UK
Position Type: Full-Time, Term-Time Only
Daily Rate: £105.64 to £115(depending on experience and qualifications)
Start Date: September 2025 (or sooner if available)
Simply Education is proud to be working in partnership with a Special Needs School in Cambridge to recruit an experienced and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA).
This is a rewarding opportunity to support children with a range of complex and additional needs, and to contribute to a caring and inclusive school environment where every pupil is valued.
About the Role:
Deliver learning activities for individuals and small groups under teacher guidance or independently.
Support students with a range of SEND needs, including autism, communication difficulties, and behavioural challenges.
Take a proactive role in the classroom and lead sessions when required.
Assist in planning, preparation, and assessment of learning activities tailored to pupils' needs.✅ Requirements:
HLTA status or a relevant Level 4 qualification (e.g., Supporting Teaching and Learning).
Proven experience working with children with special educational needs.
Strong communication, behaviour management, and teamwork skills.
Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing needs.
A valid Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one through Simply Education. What We Offer:
