Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) Contract Type: Full Time, Temporary Start Date: ASAP Location: Harrow Salary: £100 - £120 per day Hours of Work: 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM (Term Time Only) Are you a passionate and experienced higher level teaching assistant (HLTA) looking for your next rewarding opportunity? The Role As an HLTA, you will: • Lead whole-class sessions across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 in the absence of a teacher • Deliver targeted interventions and booster groups to support learning outcomes • Work alongside teachers to plan and prepare engaging and differentiated learning activities • Support children with varying needs, helping to create a nurturing, stimulating learning environment • Be a key figure in supporting behaviour, progress tracking, and the delivery of a broad and balanced curriculum About You We’re looking for someone who: • Holds HLTA status or equivalent UK-recognised qualification • Has proven experience supporting and leading learning in primary settings • Is confident managing classes independently and adapting teaching strategies to meet individual needs • Brings energy, reliability, and a passion for making a difference Why Join This School? • Welcoming and diverse school community • Supportive SLT and ongoing professional development • Great transport links and onsite parking • A role where no two days are the same!
