TeacherActive is proud to be working with a vibrant and supportive primary school near Maidstone that is seeking a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join their team from September 2025.
This exciting opportunity is perfect for an HLTA who is committed to making a real impact in the classroom. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the primary curriculum, excellent communication skills, and the ability to support and lead learning across all key stages.
HLTA Responsibilities include:
Supporting teachers in planning and delivering engaging lessons
Leading small group interventions and whole class sessions as required
Supporting the development of pupils' social, emotional and academic progress
Assisting in the preparation of classroom resources
Providing feedback to teachers and contributing to assessment
We are looking for a HLTA who:
Holds HLTA status or equivalent qualifications/experience
Has recent experience working in a UK primary school setting
Is confident, flexible, and proactive in their approach
Can build strong relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
Has a genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and development
