Position: Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)
Simply Education is working in partnership with a specialist SEN (Special Educational Needs) school in Linton, supporting their search for a dedicated and passionate Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA).
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled professional who is committed to supporting children with a wide range of learning needs, ensuring that every pupil has the chance to thrive in an inclusive and nurturing environment.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
HLTA qualification (essential)
Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 2/3 or equivalent)
Experience working in SEN school settings or with children with additional needs
A genuine passion for supporting children with special educational needs
Strong communication skills and the ability to build supportive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
Patience, flexibility, and a child-centred approach to learning and behaviour supportKey Responsibilities:
Delivering planned lessons and learning activities under the direction of the teaching team
Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups to develop their academic, social, and emotional skills
Assisting in the planning, preparation, and assessment of learning activities
Creating a safe, engaging, and supportive environment tailored to the needs of SEN learners
