Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) – Full/Part Time

Stokenchurch – ASAP Start
 Pay: £110–£130 per day

Supply Desk is working closely with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Stokenchurch who are seeking a confident and experienced Higher-Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join their team as soon as possible. This is a fantastic opportunity to take on additional responsibility and play a key role in supporting pupils’ learning and development.

About the Role

As a HLTA, you will work collaboratively with class teachers and senior leaders to support teaching and learning across the school. You will have opportunities to lead lessons, support interventions, and provide high-quality support to pupils, including those with additional needs.

Your responsibilities will include:

Delivering pre-planned lessons in the teacher’s absence
Supporting whole-class, small group, and 1:1 learning
Delivering targeted intervention sessions to raise attainment
Supporting pupils with SEN, ASD, ADHD, and additional needs
Assisting with planning, assessment, and feedback
Promoting a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment
Building strong, professional relationships with pupils and staff

Hold HLTA status or have significant school-based experience
Are confident leading lessons across EYFS, KS1 or KS2

Have strong classroom and behaviour management skills
Are adaptable, organised, and able to use initiative
Are committed to safeguarding and child welfare
