Job Description
Teaching Personnel are working closely with schools in the Reading area who are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistants (HLTAs) to join their supportive teams. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified HLTA, or a qualified teacher looking to take a step back from full classroom responsibility, while still making a meaningful impact on children’s learning.
About the Role:
As a HLTA, you will:
Support teaching and learning across the school, delivering lessons to whole classes where required.
Work with small groups and individual pupils to raise attainment.
Provide tailored interventions to support progress in literacy, numeracy and other areas.
Work collaboratively with teachers to plan, prepare and assess learning activities.
Contribute to creating a positive, inclusive and nurturing environment for all pupils.
About You:
Hold a recognised HLTA qualification or be a qualified teacher seeking a different pace and balance.
Have proven experience of working effectively with children in a school setting.
Be confident leading learning for whole classes as well as supporting smaller groups.
Bring energy, patience and strong communication skills.
Be passionate about supporting children to reach their potential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
