Academics, acting as an agency, are recruiting a confident and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) for a full-time, ongoing role in Doncaster.

Location: Doncaster, South Yorkshire
Contract: Full-time, temporary (ongoing)
School: Inclusive and welcoming primary school in Doncaster
Pay: £100 - £120 per day (dependent upon experience, training, qualifications & client rate available, inclusive of holiday pay)
About the Role
As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA), you will play a key role in supporting teaching and learning across the school. You will work closely with class teachers to plan and deliver lessons, lead small group activities, and provide targeted intervention support for pupils. You may also be asked to cover classes in the absence of a teacher, ensuring continuity of learning and maintaining high standards of behaviour.

Key Responsibilities
Deliver planned lessons and learning activities under the guidance of teaching staff.
Lead small group and 1:1 interventions to support pupil progress.
Cover classes during teacher absence, ensuring effective classroom management.
Support pupils with additional needs to access learning.
Contribute to planning, assessment, and record-keeping.
Promote positive behaviour and engagement in all classroom settings.
Collaborate effectively with teachers, support staff, and senior leaders.
Candidate Requirements
✔ HLTA qualification or equivalent experience (essential).
✔ Previous experience supporting pupils across EYFS, KS1 or KS2.
✔ Strong knowledge of the primary curriculum.
✔ Excellent communication, organisation, and interpersonal skills.
✔ A proactive and adaptable approach to classroom support.
✔ Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply).
