The role
The Senior Estimator will be responsible for:
·Producing accurate and competitive cost estimates across highways, surfacing, groundworks, and civil engineering projects
·Working closely with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure clarity and precision in costings
·Reviewing specifications, assessing risks, and analysing market conditions
·Preparing bids and proposals to secure new contracts
·Providing commercial advice and building strong client relationships
·Supporting the business's commitment to innovation and sustainability
What's needed
To be considered for this Senior Estimator role, candidates should demonstrate:
·Proven experience in estimating construction or highways projects (a background as a Quantity Surveyor will also be considered)
·Good knowledge of NEC and JCT contracts
·Strong analytical and numerical skills with excellent attention to detail
·Proficiency in estimating software
·A proactive, customer-focused approach with the ability to meet deadlines
Salary and benefits
In return, the successful Senior Estimator will receive:
·Salary up to £80,000 (DOE)
·£2,000 joining bonus
·Hybrid working - 2 days per week from home

Location and working pattern
This position is based in Hailsham with hybrid working available, giving a balance of office collaboration and home working.
