HIGHWAYS ENGINEERS STEVENAGE, HERTFORDSHIRE Excellent salary package + Hybrid working Overview Our client is one of the UK’s largest and fastest growing multi-disciplined consultancies.  From their large network of UK offices, their award-winning team of Highways Engineering professionals, lead projects across a range of major highways and development led activities. They have recently been awarded a new long-term Professional Services Contract by Hertfordshire County Council within which they will be wholly responsible for all Development Management Implementation (DMI) schemes across the county. As a result, they are seeking Highway Engineers and Senior Highways Engineers to join their growing DMI project teams.  This is an exciting opportunity which will initially focus on the oversight of a broad variety of developer led projects, but will also offer the chance to get involved with the design of highway improvemment works.  You will be encouraged to build upon your current experience and develop your knowledge and capabilities through mentoring from your team leader and other senior colleagues. The roles will be based from our client's Stevenage office in Stevenage with excellent hybrid working arrangements to allow much of the work to be undertaken remotely. About you Suitable candidates should be able to demonstrate: Some experience gained in a highway design related field, with experience of supporting the development of schemes for either the public sector or developers. A level of demonstrable proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D and / or AutoCAD. Beneficial to have some experience in the preparation and / or review of Transport Assessments and other transport and highways related documents prepared in support of planning applications. Beneficial to have some experience of provided pre-application advice to developers on Transport and Highways matters.  Be an enthusiastic and diligent individual who likes a challenge and is willing to learn. You should have good communication skills, a collaborative approach and a proven ability to deliver work on time. You should be a qualified professional with HNC/HND/Degree or Masters in a relevant subject (e.g., civil engineering, transport planning) Desirable to be member of Professional Body, such as ICE or CIHT.
