Site Supervisor - Highways Scheme 
Location: Bristol 
Rate: £(Apply online only)/day CIS 
Start Date: Immediate

About the Role

We are currently seeking an experienced Site Supervisor to join a highways engineering scheme in Bristol. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident and capable Supervisor with a strong background in delivering works on site, managing teams, and driving programme performance.

The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating daily site activities, managing internal operatives and subcontractors, and ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

·Supervise day-to-day site operations and ensure works are delivered in line with programme requirements 
·Manage and coordinate gangs, subcontractors, and site resources effectively 
·Drive progress on site and proactively identify and resolve issues impacting delivery 
·Ensure works are completed safely, on time, and to the required quality standards 
·Read and interpret drawings, specifications, and construction information 
·Conduct site briefings, toolbox talks, and ensure compliance with RAMS 
·Monitor productivity and support the Site Manager in achieving project milestones 
·Maintain strong communication with internal teams, clients, and supply chain partners 
·Promote a positive health and safety culture across the workforce

Requirements

·Proven experience as a Site Supervisor within highways 
·SSSTS qualification essential 
·First Aid qualification essential 
·Experience managing gangs and subcontractors on active construction sites 
·Strong understanding of construction delivery and site coordination 
·Ability to drive programmes forward and maintain momentum on site 
·Confident communicator with the ability to manage challenging situations 
·A strong, proactive character who can take ownership and lead from the front 
·Valid CSCS card required
