Your new company
This client is a private company responsible for managing, maintaining, and improving the A13 road in London, a major route connecting Central London to areas in East London and Essex. They hold a long-term contract to provide road management services, ensuring that the A13 road remains in good condition and meets safety and operational standards.
Your new role
As the new Highways Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing highways assets needed to keep the road network safe, functional, and well-maintained. Your
Your day to day will vary but not be limited to
* Develop work programmes to deliver the longevity of highway assets and report on the asset management.
* Lead as the main point of contact for ensuring the site is operating smoothly and adhering to health and safety standards.
* Manging the depot operations.
* Manage all aspects if planned maintenance by liaising with contractors, and maintenance crews
* Oversee the planned maintenance budget and report back with the traffic management team.
* Regularly reviewing RAMS by subcontractors and ensuring job packs are fit for purpose.
About you
The Highways Supervisor will be a strong leader with technical understanding of how to coordinate a site. They will prioritise road downtime and always seek to improve road safety and encourage the confidence of road management services.
You will be able to:
* Excellent communication skills and quick decision and to coordinate multiple contractors.
* Strong technical knowledge on understanding road infrastructure, maintenance procedures and relevant regulations to diagnose problems and solutions.
* Essential Clean UK drivers’ licence.
* Essential SSSTS or SMSTS holder.
* Strong understanding NEC contracts.
* Some nights required - night time rate applicable.
