The Role

We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic History Teacher to join our dedicated team. The successful candidate will inspire students through engaging lessons that bring the past to life, encourage analytical thinking, and support a deep understanding of historical events, contexts, and perspectives.

Key Responsibilities

Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality History lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.

Develop and implement schemes of work that meet curriculum requirements and foster a love of History.

Assess and monitor student progress, providing clear, constructive feedback and support.

Contribute to extra-curricular and enrichment activities, promoting History within the wider school community.

Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance teaching practices and support curriculum development.

Person Specification

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching History.

Strong subject knowledge and a passion for historical education.

Ability to inspire, challenge, and motivate students of all abilities.

Excellent classroom management and communication skills.

Commitment to continuous professional development and collaborative working.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
