Overview:
An established secondary school near Shirley, Southampton with a Good Ofsted rating is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic History Teacher to join their team from September 2025. This full-time, long-term opportunity has the potential to become a permanent position for the right candidate.
You will be teaching History across Key Stages 3 and 4, within a supportive Humanities department that values high academic standards, creativity, and student engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver well-planned and engaging History lessons to students in KS3 and KS4.
Inspire a love for History and develop critical thinking and analytical skills in students.
Differentiate lessons to support learners of varying abilities.
Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop resources and share effective strategies.
Contribute to wider school life, including extracurricular activities such as trips, clubs, and events.

Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.
