Supply Desk is currently recruiting on behalf of a thriving secondary school in Bushey for a full-time History Teacher to join their dedicated Humanities department from September 2025. This role is ideal for an experienced teacher or an ECT with a passion for bringing the past to life in the classroom.

The Role:
As the school's new History Teacher, you will:
Teach engaging and well-structured History lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 desirable but not essential)
Use creative teaching strategies to make historical events, themes, and debates relevant and accessible to all learners
Prepare pupils for assessments, exams, and further study with high-quality feedback and support
Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance the Humanities curriculum and share best practices
Contribute to extracurricular activities, school trips, and enrichment events that broaden students’ historical awareness
Maintain high expectations for behaviour, participation, and academic standards in your classroom
We’re Looking for a Candidate Who:
Holds QTS or QTLS with a specialism in History
Has experience teaching History in UK secondary schools (including placements if an ECT)
Is passionate about the subject and keen to inspire curiosity, discussion, and analytical thinking in young people
Demonstrates excellent classroom management and a commitment to inclusive teaching
Communicates effectively with students, staff, and parents
Has an enhanced DBS or is willing to undergo the necessary checks
