Your Role as a Teacher of History
As a Teacher of History, you will:

Plan and deliver engaging and challenging History lessons across Key Stage 3 to Key Stage 4, with the opportunity to teach at Key Stage 5.

Inspire students to develop their historical knowledge, analytical skills, and critical thinking.
*
Foster a collaborative and supportive atmosphere within the History Department, promoting teamwork and shared best practices.

Organise and lead a diverse range of extracurricular history activities, community projects, and events that enhance student engagement and showcase their talents.

Contribute to student assessment and progress, providing timely and constructive feedback.

Act as a form tutor, contributing to the pastoral care and overall well-being of students.

Who We're Looking For
*
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is preferred, alongside a strong academic background in History at degree level or equivalent.
*
Proven experience teaching History successfully across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
*
Demonstrable experience teaching History effectively at Key Stage 5 (A-Level) is essential.

A genuine passion for history and a commitment to fostering intellectual curiosity and academic achievement in students.

Strong collaborative skills with an ability to work effectively within a team.

Excellent subject knowledge across the history curriculum, with the ability to inspire students in various historical periods and themes.
