Days: Monday to Friday (Full-time)
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent or Long-term
Teaching Role: History teaching across KS3 and KS4 (potential KS5 depending on experience)
Are you a passionate and knowledgeable History Teacher dedicated to bringing the past to life for young learners?
A dynamic and inclusive secondary school in Cardiff, in partnership with Empowering Learning Cardiff, is seeking an enthusiastic History Teacher to join their humanities department from September 2025. This full-time role offers the chance to engage students with exciting and thought-provoking lessons, while promoting critical thinking, curiosity, and a deeper understanding of the world.
You will be responsible for delivering high-quality History lessons across KS3 and KS4 (with potential KS5 classes), contributing to curriculum planning, assessment, and extra-curricular enrichment such as school trips, debate clubs, or themed events.
What We're Looking For:
✅ Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or recognised FE teaching qualification
✅ Experience teaching History at secondary level (KS3-KS4, KS5 desirable)
✅ Passion for historical enquiry and evidence-based learning
✅ Ability to create inclusive, engaging, and challenging lessons
✅ A current DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
