History Teacher Monarch Education is currently recruiting for a passionate and knowledgeable History Teacher to join a high-achieving secondary school in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire. This is a fantastic opportunity to work under the guidance of an exceptional Head of Department in a supportive and forward-thinking school. The role is expected to run for one term, starting in January 2026, with potential for extension. Key Responsibilities Deliver engaging and inclusive History lessons across Key Stages Teach History up to GCSE level, ensuring curriculum coverage and progression Plan and implement a broad and balanced curriculum aligned with national standards Maintain high expectations for behaviour and learning through strong classroom management skills Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback Contribute to the development of a dynamic and ambitious Humanities department Promote a positive, inclusive, and inspiring learning environmentIdeal Candidate Holds QTS or an equivalent UK teaching qualification Strong subject knowledge in History and related topics Experience teaching History up to GCSE level Demonstrates excellent classroom management and behaviour strategies Passionate about inspiring students and bringing historical topics to life Skilled at engaging learners of all abilities Committed to safeguarding and promoting student wellbeingWhy Work with Monarch Education?
