Do you want to play a key role in supporting student success in a thriving secondary school?
A progressive and inclusive secondary school in Bristol is looking to appoint a committed Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis. This is an exciting opportunity to step up, lead learning in the classroom, and support pupils across Key Stages 3 and 4.
🧩 What You'll Be Doing:
Delivering pre-planned lessons in the absence of a teacher
Supporting students 1:1 and in small groups, including those with additional needs
Collaborating with teaching staff to raise pupil progress and engagement
Helping maintain a calm and inclusive learning environment
Taking initiative and responsibility in classroom delivery and pupil support
✔️ What We're Looking For:
HLTA qualification or substantial HLTA-level experience
Confidence in leading and delivering lessons independently
Experience supporting secondary-age pupils (KS3 & KS4)
Strong behaviour management and communication skills
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
Right to work in the UK (sponsorship is not available)
