About Us:
We are looking for a highly skilled and proactive HLTA to join our Exceptional Support Team, working alongside a SEND provision in Redbridge to support children and young people (aged 5–25) with SEND and complex behavioural needs.
This is a specialist HLTA role where you will work closely with pupils at risk of exclusion or struggling to access learning, while also upskilling school-based staff through modelling, coaching and mentoring. You will collaborate with SEND Advisory Teachers to ensure impactful strategies are implemented and embedded.
If you’re passionate about inclusive education, have experience working with learners with SpLD (especially dyslexia), and thrive in a coaching and mentoring capacity, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities:

Coaching and mentoring to embed inclusive approaches
*
Implement and demonstrate strategies that promote engagement, behaviour regulation, and inclusion
*
Collaborate closely with SEND Advisory Teachers to ensure recommendations are followed
*
Deliver time-limited interventions (up to 6 weeks) focused on staff development and impact
*
Contribute to SpLD-focused projects, including dyslexia support in schools
Required Skills and Qualifications:
*
✅Proven experience supporting children and young people with SEND, especially those with SEMH, SpLD, or challenging behaviour
*
✅Strong understanding of inclusive classroom practices and evidence-based intervention strategies
*
✅Experience mentoring or coaching staff (e.g. LSAs, TAs, or teachers)
*
✅Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
*
✅Commitment to collaborative working and continuous professional development
🌱 Desirable:
*
Specific training or qualifications in dyslexia or SpLD
*
Experience delivering training or CPD to school staff
*
A flexible approach to working across multiple school sites
